Bring nature into your summer: Forest Quest at Queen Elizabeth Forest Park
A fun, interactive adventure to connect with nature
As part of its mission to promote citizen engagement in climate-smart forestry, the FORWARDS project is pleased to support the launch of Forest Quest – a new interactive trail experience at Queen Elizabeth Forest Park (QEFP), Scotland. Developed in collaboration with Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), Forest Research, BOKU University and the SUPERB project, this initiative invites visitors to explore the forest in a fun, reflective and educational way.
The Forest Quest invites forest visitors to connect with the natural environment while learning about the forest, how it is changing under climate change, and how our local partners are working to manage it in a biodiversity-friendly and climate-smart way. The trail offers a self-guided journey along marked routes where participants can engage with forest ecosystems through creative challenges and interpretive signs, both on site and via a mobile app.

By completing the quest, participants receive a Forest Quest badge (sticker) and can enter a prize draw to win a zip-lining experience – adding a touch of adventure to the learning journey.

This initiative has been made possible through the collaboration of SUPERB and FORWARDS, two EU-funded projects dedicated to tackling the effects of climate change on forests and forest landscapes. The trail will be open to the public until 31 August 2025.
